This site is yet another Zelda fan/help site. I hope how ever it is more resourceful than others. I know quite a bit
about Nintendo 64 Zelda games so here is the site for Ocarina of Time which I am more familiar with.
History
Before the Earth was formed three goddesses floating
in the void. There names were Din, Faroe, and Nayru. They formed the Earth and departed there after. But before they
departed they created the triforce. A temple was later erected where the goddesses left the Earth. This
temple is known as the Temple of Time.
Some time after, a woman clutching her son, rushed into
Kokiri forest to escape the plague of war. Injured, she went to the Great Deku Tree to entrust her son to him for she was
to die soon because of wounds sustained due to the war.
The Great Deku Tree, took up Link and raised him as a Kokiri,
a forest child, who are never to die, but are never to leave the forest. Link unlike all of the other Kokiri children,
does not have a guardian fairy, until the Great Deku Tree summons Navi to acompany Link, and that is where the game
begins.
